Acupuncture for Anxiety and Stress in NW Portland
Stress and anxiety show up in the body as much as the mind: tight shoulders, shallow breathing, poor sleep, a racing heart. My work centers on nervous system regulation, helping the body return to a calm, regulated state.
What I commonly treat
Anxiety, chronic stress and burnout, trouble sleeping, tension headaches, and stress-related digestive upset.
How treatment works
Chinese medicine looks for the pattern underneath your symptoms. A session may include acupuncture, cupping, gua sha, or moxibustion, chosen for what your body needs that day. Most people rest deeply during treatment, and many describe feeling calmer and clearer afterward.
What to expect
Your first visit is 75 minutes and includes a full intake. Acupuncture works well alongside counseling and medical care, and it is not a replacement for either. Results vary from person to person.
